This 350-page love story spans 1,100 years, three continents, many generations and all kinds of records and photographs that the family has kept. Because stories spanned hundreds of years, we completed a significant amount of fact-checking to ensure chronologies were correct.
One of a long line of designers, our client favors a modern, uncluttered look. We reflected the grey and cyan that are predominant in her kitchen and life, with what we imaged as a 50s/60s South American aesthetic, in keeping with the family heritage. Many of the images were left as-is, with wrinkles, faded color and no cropping of edges. In fact, you’ll see photograph negatives, which for us are emblematic of the era the images capture. In this photograph is a love letter.
“I highly recommend picture life books as a beautiful way to capture life’s precious moments. Anna is a pleasure to work with, and with her guidance, thoughtful attention to detail and artistic sensibilities, the finished product was perfect. I am so happy to have this book to enjoy now, and pass along as a family heirloom.”
